Our Story
We met online while Nina was on vacation in Florida… and moved in together three months later.
Was it fast? Maybe.
But was it right? Absolutely.
What started as a simple connection quickly became something neither of us could ignore. It didn’t take long to realize this was different. It felt easy in the ways that matter, steady in a way that felt safe, and strong enough to grow through everything else.
For the first few months, we were long distance, learning each other through frequent flights, long travel days, and more WhatsApp video calls than we can count. And somehow, none of it felt like too much. If anything, it made things clearer. This wasn’t something temporary… it was something worth showing up for.
There was one trip that kind of said everything. Nina’s flight was cancelled over and over again, four times, turning what should have been a simple travel day into an overnight stay at a random hotel forty five minutes from the airport, a last minute airline change, and hoping her bag would somehow make it to Jacksonville. She was trying to get there in time to be Hunter’s plus one for a wedding.
Hunter didn’t hesitate. He showed up the only way that made sense to him. And after all of that chaos during his finals week, he was still there waiting, flowers in hand. In that moment, none of it mattered anymore. Not the delays, not the stress, not the uncertainty. Just finally seeing him, and getting to collapse into his arms like everything had settled exactly where it was supposed to.
And that was kind of the pattern for us. No matter what it took, we showed up.
What started long distance turned into a decision to stop doing life apart. Nina took a leap, changed colleges, and moved across the country, and Hunter met that moment with the same certainty. It wasn’t just about being in the same place. It was about choosing to build a life together.
From the beginning, there was a sense of knowing. We fell hard and fast for one another. Hunter brought a groundedness that made everything feel more certain, while Nina brought a depth and vision that made everything feel bigger. Together, it just worked.
We built our relationship in real time, in the middle of life actually happening. Late nights, early Discount Tire mornings, hard conversations, laughter that carried us through, and moments that no one else sees but that mean everything. We learned each other fully, not just at our best, but in the moments that ask more of you. And through all of it, we kept choosing each other.
What we have is intentional. It is grounded. It is something we have built with care, patience, and a lot of love. It feels like home, and it feels like something we will continue choosing for the rest of our lives.
And now, we get to make it official, surrounded by the people who have supported us, loved us, and been part of our story along the way.
